The Partners of the Americas, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Mission-Brazil, and Brazil National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI), announced the launch of the new 100,000 Strong in the Americas United States-Brazil Climate-Inclusive Education grant competition to expand innovative, inclusive, climate-focused exchange and training programs in both countries. The initiative is part of the bicentennial year of diplomatic relations between Brazil and the United States.
Teams of higher education institutions from the United States and Brazil are invited to work together to design and implement new models of inclusive, climate-action focused educational exchanges to equip teams of students with technical, linguistic, and intercultural skills imperative to lead in a climate-positive workforce. There will be seven (7) grants of up to $40,000 each.
Proposed Activities and Eligible Themes: Proposals must include innovative partnerships between HEIs that result in (1) inclusive education solutions, participant exchange and training programs, and (2) climate action projects (CAPs) that contribute to climate-action solutions between the U.S. and Brazil.
