Dr. Tanja Burkhard is an Assistant Professor at Georgia State University. She earned her doctorate in Teaching & Learning at Ohio State University in 2017, her master’s degree in Applied Linguistics/Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Southern Illinois University, and her bachelor’s degree in Translation Studies from Johannes Gutenberg Universität, Germany. Her work centers on the deployment of critical and feminist qualitative methodologies to explore the intersections of racialization, immigration, and gender.
