Jennifer Turpin Stanfield

Jennifer Turpin Stanfield is a two-time Ohio State alum and a current Ph.D. student in the Health and Exercise Science program at Ohio State. She is a tenured Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. In addition to her CSU appointment, she serves as a subject matter expert for the American Council on Exercise, a national presenter for the National Exercise Trainers Association, and a continuing education provider for the Yoga Alliance. Jennifer is passionate about helping others improve their health and quality of life through the adoption of positive health behaviors; she has shared this passion through her work in university, government, and clinical settings over the course of her career. Her research focuses on physical activity participation and health in Black women. Black women in the U.S. are disproportionately impacted by chronic disease. Her long-term professional goal is to use research and practice to identify solutions that increase physical activity participation and improve health outcomes in Black women.
