Lessons from children and youth: Centering young people’s sense making on issues of justice in literacy research and practice
Dr. Torres’ scholarship is theoretically driven by decolonial approaches to education, languaging, and love. His work has appeared in Research in the Teaching of English, Language Arts, Journal of Literacy Research, and English Journal. He was awarded a Cultivating New Voices Fellowship (2020-2022) and the 2019 English Language Arts Teacher Educators (ELATE) Geneva Smitherman Cultural Diversity Grant.
