Carlotta Penn, PhD, speaks on Multicultural Literacy at Far Eastern University’s FEU CONNECT virtual event

On October 23rd, Dr. Penn joined students, faculty, staff, and community members for the FEU CONNECT program. FEU CONNECT focuses on the dissemination of four distinct features of the FEU teaching and learning philosophy to teachers, school administrators, school officials, guidance counsellors, librarians, and parents. Those features are student-centered learning, the importance of using a scientific, evidence-based approach in all subjects, a teaching and administration approach characterized by the motto “firm but affirming” and the importance of the development of fortitude (an FEU core value) in students. The title of her lecture was “A Multicultural Literacy Education for All.” FEU is located in Manila, Philippines.
